It was a sunny Lag B’Omer day as parents and grandparents of Yeshivat Netivot students filed into the school building in East Brunswick, New Jersey. That day the tables were turned. Elementary age students from six to nine years old taught the adults lessons on different subjects using the innovative Montessori method.

RPRY Kindergarten Concludes Aleph Bet Study

Kindergarten students at Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva in Edison, New Jersey celebrated their Siyum Aleph-Bet. Students worked all year to master the reading and writing of the Hebrew alphabet. To celebrate this milestone, both classes met in the Beit Midrash. As part of the ceremony, Rabbi Daniel Loew, Head of School, opened a Sefer Torah and helped students find the letters of their Hebrew names in the Torah scroll.

JKHA Fourth Graders Inducted Into Middle School

As the fourth graders wrapped up their final days as Lower School students, they took part in a special breakfast to introduce them to the Middle School that they will be entering next school year at JKHA. Rabbi Adam Hertzberg, Director of Educational Programming at JKHA spoke to the students about all of the exciting opportunities available to them in Middle School and their responsibilities when they become fifth graders next fall. The students were able to meet and hear from several Middle School teachers to get them ready for this next step in their JKHA education.

Students Face Faculty in RPRY Basketball Match

Following an annual year-end tradition, the eighth grade students at Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva in Edison, New Jersey challenged the faculty to play basketball. Members of the RPRY basketball teams were joined by other classmates to play a spirited, edge-of-the-seat set of games. The students were a real match for the faculty, but in both the boys and girls games, the faculty sweated to victory.
