Lawrence - On Sunday March 10, 2013, the TABC Storm entered the Lawrence Middle School to take on the MTA Lions in a Western Conference showdown for the MYHSHL Varsity championship.  The Lions handed the Storm their only 2 losses of the regular season, a 2-0 defeat at the Weather Center and a 3-2 last second heartbreak in the Lion’s Den.  The Storm entered the championship game on a roll and playing at an extremely high level, having dismantled a very talented HAFTR Flames team 5-1 in the semi-finals less than a week earlier, while the Lions earned the right to play for the championship in comeback fashion, beating the DRS Wildcats 3-2 after being down 2-1 with 2 minutes left in the...

Ma’ayanot Rapids Defeat SAR for Volleyball Championship

The Ma’ayanot Rapids made Ma’ayanot history last week by defeating SAR to become the volleyball champions of MYHSAL (Metropolitan Yeshiva High School Athletic League).

The Rapids finished the regular season with a 7-3 record, which placed them second in their division. They enjoyed home court advantage in their quarterfinal game against HAFTR, whom they quickly defeated with back to back victories. The Rapids enjoyed similar success by winning the first two games of their semifinal match against Ramaz.

TABC Vs. MTA In Varsity Hockey Finals This Sunday

The TABC Storm varsity hockey team fought an intense battle at the Weather Center against the HAFTR Flames on Monday night to determine who will head to Lawrence Middle School for the MYHSHL championship game. The Storm defeated the Rambam Ravens 3-1 in the quarter finals, while the Flames were coming off an impressive 8-2 win over a very talented Frisch Cougar team.

The Flames got on the board first with a blast from the point by Jordan Gellman to take a 1-0 lead. Shortly thereafter, TABC stormed back with a beautiful shot by Benjy Shulman, beating the Flames goalie to tie up the score.
